Surrounding Community:

The Stonebridge site occupies a central location between a number of existing services, including parks, trails, schools, recreation centres, and existing retail services. Through the development of Stonebridge we intend to increase the number of people living in close proximity to existing services and enrich the range of services available to Mill Bay residents.

Urban Containment Boundary:

Stonebridge is located within the Urban Containment Boundary, as outlined in the Mill Bay / Malahat Official Community Plan. The Urban Containment boundary defines the area within which the CVRD seeks to encourage “urban” residential development to occur. Areas outside the Urban Containment boundary are to be preserved for rural uses and are deemed inappropriate for urban residential development.
